Thorne's PolyResveratrol-SR® (now marketed as Resveratrol Complex) is a dietary supplement formulated to provide antioxidant support and promote healthy aging. It combines five polyphenol-rich ingredients: 100 mg each of trans-resveratrol, trans-pterostilbene, and phytosome complexes of curcumin, green tea (decaffeinated), and quercetin. The manufacturer notes that quercetin may slow the breakdown of resveratrol, while pterostilbene is described as having higher and longer-lasting blood levels than resveratrol.
This product uses a time-release matrix called Time-Sorb® to help maintain consistent blood levels of the active ingredients over time. The phytosome forms of curcumin, green tea, and quercetin are intended to enhance absorption by complexing them with phospholipids from sunflower. Thorne states the resveratrol is 100% trans-resveratrol, not a diluted extract.
