NOW Foods Beta-Sitosterol Plant Sterols softgels are formulated for cardiovascular health, featuring CardioAid®-S Plant Sterol Esters, a patented blend of esterified beta-sitosterol, campesterol, and stigmasterol. This combination is designed to support healthy cholesterol levels already within the normal range, with each serving providing 1 gram of plant sterol esters in a base of natural fish oil concentrate.

The product uses CardioAid®-S, a registered trademark from Archer-Daniels-Midland Company, which is noted for its ester forms that may help limit cholesterol absorption from the digestive tract. The manufacturer states that foods containing at least 0.65 grams per serving of plant sterol esters, eaten twice daily with meals as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. This softgel delivers that amount per serving and is produced in a GMP facility with certifications including Halal and Kosher (Triangle K-Contains Gelatin).
